Welcome + 2013 Literotica V-Day Contest

Hello and thank you for stopping in.  My name is Scarlet and I'm a writer of erotic romance.  I've been writing for many years, mostly romance, and now that I'm in my mid-twenties I've decided to put a bit more emphasis on writing erotica.  The romance genre today not only seems to be more tolerant of full-blown erotica, but it seems to encourage it.  Some of my favorite authors write scenes that even 10 years ago would have been seen as too explicit.  Since I am writing with the goal of one day getting published and making a career out of this, I think it's time that I tighten up my skills when it comes to writing the sensual and down-right dirty.  I'll be using this blog to post about my journey as a writer of erotica and to exchange resources and ideas with anyone who wants to talk.

I've been a fan of reading erotic literature since I was in my teens and have always found it easier to find sexual satisfaction from the scenes in my head than the ones on film.  One website in particular that has been a huge shall we say "resource" is Literotica.  This website is amazing, absolutely prolific, and FREE.  Some of the best erotic stories you'll find anywhere, on the web or otherwise, can be found in their archives.  I've been debating for a long time whether or not to post my material and decided to bite the bullet.  Not only that, but I've made my first submission as an entrant to their Valentine's Day contest.

My entry, titled The Prince of Valentinium, is a bit of a sci-fi romance set in the future.  It's about a prince from another planet who comes to Earth to find a mate.  I won't give the whole thing away, but I will tell you my favorite little blurb:

When her orgasm crested, he dug in, doubling the speed and intensity of the lashes from his tongue, pressing constantly on that spot inside of her that made her squeeze him even more tightly. She came again. And again.
